Anti-Feminists Create Fake Movement Called “Believe All Women”

- It's based on the idea that #MeToo is equivalent to public lynching
- Far-right movements created it then confronted victims with it

Anti-feminist activists created a fake slogan – “Believe All Women” – and tried to use it in order to discredit victims of sex assault.

The idea stems from a slogan that’s been used for quite a while – “Believe Women” – to stir awareness that women should be believed equally as men when they speak out, according to an op-ed by Monica Hesse published in the Washington Post.

Far-right activists tried to use this fake slogan to force the #MeToo movement to acknowledge that not all sex assault accusers are truthful.

This fake slogan came into the spotlight when Tara Reade accused presidential hopeful Joe Biden of sexual misconduct. A Boston Herald columnist recently got sucked in to the whirlpool of hate.

The New York Times also recently published a piece about this conspiracy.
